Lead/Staff Engineer – Low-power/EMIR

Work on Low-power implementation and/or EMIR(electro-migration/IR-drop) analysis of state-of-the-art SOCs at cutting edge FinFET technology nodes for various customers.

This position is for a senior-level physical design engineer who will work on

  • Low-power implementation of of a complex SOC/block-level – based on UPF/CPF
  • EMIR analysis of complex SOC/Block-level – Static/Dynamic analysis, power calculation
  • Work hands-on to solve critical design and execution issues related to low-power, EMIR
  • Own power-domain implementation flows, sign-off methodologies for execution of SoCs

 

Experience:

  • Experience and understanding of all phases of the IC design process from RTL->GDS2
  • Preferably worked on 5nm/7nm/12nm/14nm/16nm nodes at the major foundries
  • Low-power UPF/CPF based implementation of SoC/Full-chip-level and/or block-level which includes insertion and verification of low-power logic pre and post-layout
  • Experience in debugging and resolving VCLP/CLP related issues in implementation
  • Experience in developing low-power implementation strategies to guide PD teams
  • Experience in Power-grid design with power-islands, multiple voltage/power-domains
  • Experience in EM analysis, IR-drop analysis, Rush-current analysis and fixes
  • Experience in generating EMIR models for AMS components in the design
  • Experience in coming up with power-budgeting strategies, power-optimizations
  • Thorough understanding of low-power, IR-drop sign-off criterion and methodologies
  • EDA Tools: Cadence (Voltus, CLP), Ansys/Apache (Redhawk, Totem), Synopsys (Prime-Power, VCLP)

 

Qualifications:

  • BTech/MTech/PhD with 5-10 years’ experience in physical design with low-power implementation/IR drop analysis as focus
  • Proven track record with multiple successful final production tape-outs
  • Proven ability to independently deliver results in a very fast-moving startup environment, be able to work hands-on as and guide/help peers to deliver their tasks
  • Be able to work under limited supervision and take complete accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
